David B.K. Golden, M.D.
Dr. Golden graduated from McGill University School of Medicine in 1976, where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine. He entered a fellowship training program in Allergy-Clinical Immunology at Johns Hopkins University, where he then directed a program of research studies on anaphylaxis and insect sting allergy for 30 years. In 1984, he founded this private practice, which has grown into a large allergy group practice and has been recognized for academic quality and superior patient care. Dr. Golden has published dozens of research papers, and is invited to give lectures at national and international scientific meetings. He is now an Associate Professor of Medicine and a teaching clinician at the Johns Hopkins Asthma and Allergy Center. In addition to developing educational programs for the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, Dr. Golden presents an allergy-immunology curriculum for medical residents in teaching community hospitals in Baltimore. Dr. Golden is the Chief of the Allergy Division of Internal Medicine at Franklin Square Hospital, and is the Director of Allergy in the Department of Medicine, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He is also the father of 2 grown and successful children and the proud new grandfather of baby Jack.
Jonathan Matz, M.D.
Jonathan Matz is Board Certified in Internal Medicine as well as Allergy & Immunology. He attended the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and Primary Care in the Department of Health Care Sciences at George Washington University Medical Center. He then completed a Fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine and University of Colorado in Denver, Co.
Dr. Matz is the Director of Chesapeake Clinical Research, Inc which was founded in 1992 and is the instructor in the Department of Medicine at the John Hopkins School of Medicine in addition to working as a physician at Drs. Golden and Matz, LLC. Dr. Matz is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Matz was born and raised in Baltimore. He is an avid skier and golfer, although his handicap hovers around 12- he keeps trying. He spends most of his free time with his wife and four children.
Lois Endo, M.D.
Lois Endo is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as in Allergy and Immunology. She attended the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University at the Washington Hospital Center, in Washington, D.C. She then went to complete her fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Alabama, in Birmingham Alabama. Dr. Endo has been with Drs. Golden and Matz, LLC since 2006. She sees patients at the White Marsh and Owings Mills locations. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology as well as the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Gary L. Rosenberg, M.D.
Dr. Rosenberg is a native of Cleveland. He attended undergraduate school at Harvard University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He went on to Harvard Medical School, graduating Cum Laude. After completion of an Internal Medicine residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, he spent three years in immunology research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, followed by an Allergy/Immunology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins. He began clinical practice in Baltimore as a private practitioner and staff physician at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Allergy/Immunology. Dr. Rosenberg is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He has published several important papers in the areas of allergy and asthma. He has two grown children, both of whom are highly accomplished in their chosen fields. He enjoys time with his grandchildren, reading, and photography.
Mary E. Fontana-Penn, M.D.
Dr. Fontana-Penn comes to our practice from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC where she spent six years as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and internal Medicine specializing in Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunodeficiency. She was associate Program Director for the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship and Director of the Adult and Pediatric Immunodeficiency Clinic. Prior to that, she was Assistant Professor at the Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine for several years after completing her specialty fellowship training in allergy and immunology. She also spent a year as a fellow in Pediatric Infectious Disease at the Albert Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Fontana-Penn has authored several peer reviewed papers and abstracts. In her spare time, you can find Dr. Fontana-Penn enjoying her two daughters, reading and biking on the NCR trail.
